Restoring a deleted sharepoint document version

In sharepoint, I accidentally lost a document version that I'd like to restore. When I go to version history, there is no record of this document (date). Can this version be recovered?

    Hi, @Walker, Scott ,

    If you accidentally delete the version history, you can go to the recycle bin and check. Restore the file will make the version history record back. Here are some more information about recycle bin, have a check if you are not clear.

    When you find no trace of the required document even in the recycle bin, it may be needed to open a service request for possible help.
