Hello.
We recently updated from AADC 1.4.18 to 1.5.45. Things are working normally but we're seeing an "update setting" button when we go to AADC -> Manage federation -> View federation configuration.
ADFS was deployed via the previous AADC version.
Does anybody know what this button does?
Will it trigger an update on the ADFS certs?
Is this something we should do after hours in case it causes issues with authentication?
We've checked ADFS and we don't have expired certs. When we run the "Get-MsolFederationProperty" command, the thumbprint between ADFS and Office 365 matches. Users are authenticating just fine but we would like to understand why is this button there.

My team and I weren't able to find any reference regarding the "update settings" button. However, to gain a better understanding of what that button might do, can you answer some of my question below.
If you don't have expired certs, users are able to authenticate just fine, and you aren't having any issues, you shouldn't have to update your federation config settings. However, if you'd like our support engineers to take a closer look into your environment, please let me know.

To answer your questions:
1: This was an upgrade in AADC. Any ADFS related configuration would have been related to the update on AADC itself.
2: There's no Next button in this window. After completing the AADC update, we wanted to use this window to document the settings. That's how we discovered the button which is not present in the older AADC server.
I have some new information. about 3 years ago, AADC was installed and ADFS was deployed via AADC. A year later, the certs in ADFS needed to be updated. I believe the team in charge back then, performed the cert update locally in the ADFS Farm (not via AADC), in fact, I don't think anything was ever changed/updated at the AADC level even after the certs were updated in ADFS.
Would this explain why the new installation for AADC detects as if something needs to be updated? If we click on that button, will we see just a refresh on the console? or get prompted for new certs?
