Hello,
Microsoft Edge stopped working, when I try to open Edge, it won't open. I tried to repair it but it didn't work and it says that there is a program installation error "0xc0000006", when I click on "help" nothing happens. I also tried to repair windows image with DISM commands, sfc /scannow and chkdsk /f ; but nothing worked.
I'm currently on Windows 11 23H2 and Edge version is : 126.0.2592.68.
Outlook for windows seems to have stopped working too, it won't open too but others app such as Microsoft store, Microsoft 365 Outlook (and the others app) work, I don't know if Outlook issue has a link with Edge issue too. But compared to Edge, Outlook does open but crashes before showing the mails, I tried to reinstall it, but the problem is persisting.
Thank you.

If the issue still persists, please try performing an In-place Upgrade. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.

Few things to check on the PC
**Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
**Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade
Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

I created the new local administrator, but it still didn't work, I also tried to open it as an admnistrator, but it still didn't work.
Please try creating a new local administrator account then check if the issue persists.

When was the last time it worked properly?
I recommend creating a new post about your Outlook issue so that people with the same problem can easily find it and be helped by the suggested solutions there.
Please try the method below if it helps.
Press Windows key+R to open Run then type:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\
Make a backup of the User Data folder and save it on another location
After that delete the said folder on the path above
Please check if this fixes the issue.
Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.
