Edge Copilot vs Windows Copilot:

Compose is a feature in Edge Copilot. Copilot outside of Edge does not have Compose.

Compose is an AI-powered content writer feature available in the sidebar of Microsoft Edge. It helps you create drafts in different tones, formats, and lengths, making writing easier and more confident. Here’s how you can access Compose:

  1. Click the Bing Chat/Copilot icon in the upper-right corner of the Edge toolbar .
  2. Select Compose at the top of the sidepane.

You can start typing in your preferred language in the Write about box. Compose tailors drafts based on your feedback, allowing you to personalize tone, length, and phrasing. You can even highlight text and use the Rewrite menu to experiment with different lengths and tones, such as Enthusiastic or Professional^1^.

    Hi,

    I use it often, but in the last few days it has stopped working. That is, it no longer rephrases the texts, even if I change tone or length. I don't know why.

    Ok, I just tried to repro this to no avail, it worked for me; changed Tone & Length, as well. Did see this notice a couple of times BUT upon retrying or refreshing, worked just fine.

    Did require a wee bit of patience, though.

    Anyway, if not working for you, please submit a report to Feedback Hub.
