Hi, please forgive me if similiar question has been appear before.

I got problem on my office related to Edge update. somehow when the computer connected to company network, Edge cannot finish the updates. either stuck in 50 or 90% then failed.

to my knowledge, there is applied policy of blocking Windows Updates on network level (its also on OS level, but most computer can press the "Check for Updates")

my question is, how to know if the connection to Microsoft Updates server has been blocked ? (my network admins wont admit they block it).

Thank you in advance.

Praditya

It might not be blocked from a network level but policies and restriction applied by the IT admins can also block any installation that might happen and for this it will be best to consult this with the IT department of the company that you work for.

Hi paul, thank you for the answer.

in that case, they also didn't roll out the updates. we usually ask user to connect to their mobile phone hotspot or another connection outside office wifi.

are you sure it's not blocked from Network level ?

and for information, we use 3rd party software for Software & Patch deployment.

    Thank you

Good day Praditya, thanks for your question. I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. The update that is not being finished and not installing is already an indication that this is being controlled by the IT admins for the company that you work for in which they are the ones deciding on when to deploy the update that will be rolled out to every user and this is all being done from their end since they are tasked to employ certain restriction and policies to employees.

    Regards,

    Paul R.
