Trillion-Dollar Microsoft's Incompetent Programming Deleted All My Bookmarks/Favorites In Windows 11 24H2 Edge

A couple weeks ago I upgraded from windows 11 23H2 to their latest 24H2 because a message from microsoft said 23H2 would no longer be serviced in several months. The upgrade went ok and then all of sudden today I closed my Edge browser and reopened it but ALL of my bookmarks/favorites are erased from my browser bar!

No, I did not do anything to cause this.

My bookmarks/favorites were never lost with XP, Vista, 7, 8.1, or 10.

Its not until after having to upgrade to Windows 11 that I and countless others are experiencing the absolute bs with microsoft having screwed up the features which they did incorporate and also neglected A LOT of features that once made the browser, tool bars, task bars, etc a much more pleasurable experience.

I only use one device which is my computer and I have never had to sync any bookmarks/favorites until now being told that microsoft made it that way

Unfortunately, and unintentionally, you did.

When you sync your Favorites, they are stored online in your Microsoft account. That makes your Favorites available anywhere, any time, when you sign in to Microsoft Edge with your Microsoft account username and password.

When you aren't syncing, your Favorites are cached on your hard drive. A cache is temporary storage. The contents of the cache can be erased for any number of reasons - it's only meant to be temporary.

I dont have any idea if I do or dont sync favorites to Microsoft account.... I dont even know what that is.

All I know is that I didnt do anything to cause my bookmarks/favorites to now be erased.
