Hello, this situation is simaler to the one from https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/this-alias-cannot-be-added-to-your-account-choose/4ffc36ff-ed12-40da-b5b4-96d6fe937c03?from=GetHelpBCQR&CorrelationId=8a467f9a-dbc2-4390-ab96-ce3223e30ec3&ocid=OO_Core_NEU_GetHelp_DG_GetHelp_Solutions However this is much much more difficult to troubleshoot because mircosoft makes sure you cant email them in any sense. Its the ISSUE FROM HELL. I get this same as the link says This Alias cannot be added use another alias for my phone number. However an extra layer of fire to this situation is that somehow despite me never adding it to ANY other emails somehow my new phone has 2 emails I dont own and are actually fully connected while I the owner of the phone cant even use it to redeem points. I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS **** for upwards of 5 MONTHS HAVING TO WAIT on support TO LIE TO ME THAT EVERYTHINGS "FIXED" WHEN ITS NOT. IM SO UPSET. I HAVE TRIED AGAIN AND AGAIN. if i had it my way and all my programs supported linux, I wouldnt even give a cent to mircosoft. im so disappointed.

    Dear Mr Lolmaster

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

If your cell phone number is tied to an unknown Microsoft account, Microsoft Community support staff cannot directly assist you in removing the previously tied Microsoft account.

As suggested in your previously attached post, you can contact Microsoft Chat Support for further assistance.

If you have obtained a cell phone number from your carrier, but they are tied to the wrong cell phone number, you can have the carrier obtain support and have them contact Microsoft support, submit that this is your cell phone number, prove your ownership, and request that they assist you in removing the unknown Microsoft account.

    Best Wish
