Edge keeps Invading my Computer

Same question as many in this forum. I have stopped Edge opening on the starting of my computer. I have tried to put the app to sleep to prevent it from invading my space when I am working. MS knows this is a problem. Edge has consistently in the last few days imposed itself on my screen. There is a simple fix for this but obviously MS does not wish to fix it. I choose to have browsers that suit me. I don't want Edge. Taking many steps to disable it is just not correct. No other browser invades my personal computer space. MS please advise when this problem will be fixed.

Just now I have had another intrusion by Edge onto my computer. I have not had any reply from MS on this issue. I suggest that you change the program so there is no uninvited appearance of Edge on my computer.

Just this morning Edge came onto my computer without my permission. This type of intrusion without permission is is not tolerable

I didnt realise that there was a process to reply. I believe you would know about the problem with Edge. On the site there are a number of complaints. I also assume that Microsoft has programmed Edge to open in computers even though it has not been selected as the search engine.

I dont know what Edge version I have. I choose not to open it just in case it becomes the dominant search engine.

Edge just now came onto my screen carrying a recommendation from Norton to upgrade my Edge extensions. Edge remains uninvited by me to open on my computer. Microsoft can put it in as part of its package, but it cannot intrude on my computer without my permission.

I do know from my reading that it is impossible to delete Edge from my computer. So I don't choose that approach. I do choose however, that Edge remain silent/dormant on my computer unless I give it permission to open.

I look forward to your response

    PMB
