Managing profiles and sync in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

Please Microsoft, stop syncing my chrome with Microsoft edge. I lost so much important data just now. And yes, I’ve already disabled it manually, but it keeps enabling itself. Countless times this has happened and I lost so much data. I keep 2 accounts separate on different web browsers but it seems like Microsoft just wants me to use edge, or to just get another browser.

Why Edge keep syncing all data from Chrome even though all turn off - Microsoft Community
Unfortunately, I am required to keep using Edge for work, BUT I was able to find a workaround:
Since nothing is in that new profile, and assuming you never use it, nothing gets added to Edge. Tested over ~15 reboots and it seems to hold.
