Need help with creating primary password?

i have tried repeatedly to create the newly required primary password. Please give me well-explained steps for this. I appreciate your quick response.

I would recommend choosing the second option, the device sign-in option, instead of a custom password, since Windows Hello is more secure than a custom primary password. The custom primary password if forgotten, would lead to unretrieval of all the data unless you synced it with your MSA.

Go to this page:

edge://wallet/settings

(Copy and paste the address in the bar)

Under View and autofill passwords and passkey, select with custom primary password. You’ll be asked to authenticate using your device credentials.

After authentication, you'll see the below dialog.

Enter and re-enter your custom password as instructed. This has to be minimum 4 characters long and can contain any combination of alphabets and numbers. Make sure you choose a combination you will remember, as this will not be saved in your computer.

From the dropdown, select the frequency you want:

Always

Once every session
