Managing profiles and sync in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

Every time I boot up my computer (Windows 11), a pop-up window tells me that opening my profile is having trouble. What does that mean?
I am not a computer guru, and the sites that I opened trying to find a way to fix this are way over my head. I need help.

Hi, SherryKotecki
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
If possible, could you provide a screenshot of the issue? Is this error message coming from Edge? If it’s convenient, please create a new local account and test whether the issue occurs on that account. You can do this by pressing Win+R, typing CMD, and then pressing Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open CMD with administrative privileges; then enter the command: net user test /add After creating the account, switch to it and test if the issue occurs to ensure that the problem isn’t caused by Windows itself.
Additionally, if the issue originates from Edge, you can try navigating to the directory, temporarily cut the User data folder to another location (make sure to completely close Edge via Task Manager), then restart Edge, sign back into your Microsoft account to sync your data, and see if the issue still persists.
(Make sure this option is selected)
