I've seen this post as well..
And also seen this setting in Bing..
But I don't want to disable suggestions, what I want to disable is for those suggestions to be automatically selected upon pressing enter.

This post..
.. only mentions an option to disable autofill, which seems to mean that no suggestions are shown at all.
But the only part that bothers me is not that a drop down menu with suggestions is shown, but that those suggestions are automatically added upon pressing enter (e.g. in Bing, if I type "macro c" it autocompletes to "macro calculator", which is annoying).

Hi, Wallby
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
We are unable to reproduce your issue. Could you please check if this problem occurs with other search engines, such as Google? Normally, Bing’s autocomplete suggestions should be selected by pressing the TAB key.
Please create a new Edge profile to see if the issue persists (this will help us isolate errors caused by extensions and some cached data). If the new profile works fine, please sign out of your account from the old Edge profile and sign in to the new Edge profile to test if the issue still occurs.

Please let us know the results of this test so we can better assist you.
Additionally, we recommend using the feedback button to report this issue directly to the Bing developers.
