Microsoft Edge New Tab does not work

Hello Microsoft community,

Until yesterday, Thursday, Nov 9 at the Edge browser there was a plus sign to the left of the address box and

clicking on the plus sign began a tab with a new window. Today, Friday Nov 11 there is no plus sign and

the browser will only allow one window at a time. There is a New Tab icon at the top middle that was

never there before but when the New Tab icon is clicked the present window is lost and a new window appears.

This is a fatal error in the function of the Edge browser.

Restarting the the computer has been tried several times but the malfunction persists.

    Is your browser window this way? If yes, right-click "New tab" and select "Turn off vertical tabs"
