Microsoft authenticator

I am a student at National Park community college. When I try to sign in to D2L it gives me a number and tells me to go to my authenticator app. But when I go to my authenticator app it tells me to go to my authenticator app {which I am already in} to enter a completely different number. I have uninstalled my app, reset my app, and even took my account off of the app, and added it back. Nothing has worked. It is midterms week, and I have a bunch of homework due that I am unable to get to. I really need this fixed, as this is just putting me further behind. Please fix this issue for me immediately. Thank you!

    Hello, Jennifer Ponce

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

The issue could be related to the account settings on the backend rather than the Microsoft Authenticator app itself. Sometimes, the settings in your account might not sync properly with the Microsoft Authenticator app. This can happen if there are discrepancies between what’s configured on the backend and what the app expects. Also, your college might have specific security policies in place that affect how authentication is handled. If these policies are not correctly applied to your account, it could lead to the issues you’re experiencing.

This is something that the IT support team at your college would need to investigate. Reach out to your college’s IT support team. They can check if there are any issues with your account settings or if there are any known issues with the D2L integration.
