New Tab Broken

On my Windows laptop, I have problems with Microsoft Edge.

The quick links on my new tab sometimes don't work. By that I mean they don't change the mouse to a click icon, and the round square doesn't highlight as if the quick links are just part of the background. This can be resolved by opening a new tab and then clicking it, but the problem is annoying.

Also, the news screen (on the new tab) disappears most of the time. Most times, I open a new tab, and most of the buttons (even the new tab, and upper right button) disappear. The only ones appearing (that aren't on the upper toolbar) are the standard Bing search bar with it's own buttons, my quick links and show and hide for those, and a customize button that doesn't work.

I don't know how to fix these, and I don't want to remove/accidentally remove any data and things I have saved down which may include methods like entirely removing and reinstalling Edge.

And some methods may not work due to an Microsoft account I have being used across multiple laptops. (Meaning 2 people I know also use the same Microsoft account.)

I've already tried resetting Microsoft from the reset button in Edge Settings not the laptop settings or the app settings from the start menu. I also tried restarting the computer. The quick link issue happened today, and the news screen issue started happening months ago.

    Hello anonymouspersonok.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you have some problems when you using the Edge new tab.

You can try to create a new profile and check whether the feature about New Tab is works.

If it works well in the new profile you can try to transfer your account from the old profile to the new profile.

    edge://settings/profiles

Click Sign out in the old profile.

Then log in to your account in the new profile.

If you have the cloud sync the data will sync to the new profile.

You can also try to use this feature in Edge may help you solve the News problem.

    edge://settings/privacy

Choose a service provider you want to use.

Using the canary version Edge may also be a possible solution.

Welcome to Microsoft Edge Canary Channel (microsoftedgeinsider.com)

If all can't work it seems that the only way to help you solve your problem is to submit your feedback to Edge teams by press Win+Shift+I

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,
