I just spent nearly an hour trying to change my password. I did everything right but when I finished I couldn't tell if it had accepted it or not. There was no message saying it was good. So I kept trying and it asked me for a secondary e mail and so on which I couldn't do because it didn't send any notice to that e mail either. I finally went back and put in the new one I'd chosen and it worked. It would have been a lot easier if I'd known that it had accepted the change!

Hi
Welcome to Microsoft community.
I understand you've had difficulties changing your password. It certainly sounds frustrating. Usually, when you change a password on Microsoft Edge using your Microsoft account, you should receive a confirmation email at your primary email address. However, if you didn't receive any notification, it could be due to a few reasons:
Since you mentioned that you were eventually able to login with your new password, it seems like the password change was successful. In the future, if you don't receive a confirmation email, try logging in with your new password to see if it was accepted.
Please feel free to let me know how it goes.
Best regards
