Issue with microsoft edge

My microsoft edge will occasionally freeze and crash and cause issues with my pc: one time when I open Microsoft edge it black screen and crashed so I decided to instead use opera GX another browser I have that is very good. However, when I loaded up Opera GX it crashed, and then my whole laptop background went black, and every app crashed upon opening it. I restarted my PC and it worked fine again but ever since then I’ve been having issues with edge crashing and causing other apps to crash. Please help.

    This seems like a hardware issue.

    Please go to edge://settings/system

    Turn off Use hardware acceleration when available and see if the issue resolves.
