I often get comments "spiked" from posts on MicroSoft Start for "violating community standards" - so far I have gotten historical quotes from Churchill, Socrates and FDR "spiked". How can that be?

Just exactly how does this post "violate community standards" ???? Real electrical engineer here. I design batteries and battery management systems. First of all, a definition of terms: a "cell" is an electrochemical device that stores electricity. A primary cell is a non-rechargeable cell similar to the C cell or AA cell you have doubtlessly have somewhere around your house. And it is common, but technically inaccurate usage to call a single AA, C, D etc. cell a "battery". The term "secondary cell" is used to describe rechargeable cells. A battery is a group of one or more cells - for example - the battery in your car is a "flooded lead acid battery" consisting of six cells, each providing approximately 2.1V for a battery total of around 12.6V (depending on battery condition and age) All EVs have many thousands of cells - in Tesla these cells comprise one or more batteries consisting of around 4,400 cells to over 7,000 cells. In any event - the number of charge/discharge cycles is highly dependent on multiple variables - these include: depth of discharge, battery operating temp, battery charging temp and battery electro-chemistry. For a typical NCM lithium-ion cell this is around 1,000 charge/discharge cycles. For Teslas where the driver keeps depth of discharge to around 20% of rated capacity ths NCA cells can exceed 5,000 cycles BUT if the battery is deeply discharged this can be a little a 500-700 cycles. The reason this cycle life is better than your cell phone battery is due primarily to the cell composition (anode), total battery capacity and the high quality battery management system of the Tesla....
