How do I enable recording device on Windows 10 Pro Virtual Machine?

I need to use a microphone for an app installed on my Windows 10 Pro Virtual Machine. I when I go into settings Input device is disabled. How can I enable?

    DSPatrick,

    My problem is with a Virtual Machine running in Azure. It is showing Recording Device as being disabled. Therefore it doesn't receive input from the microphone on my computer. Given that this is a virtual machine instance of Windows 10, where would I be best suited to look for my answer? Thanks in advance. Robin
