Hi, I am an Independent Advisor.

I understand you want to uninstall Microsoft Edge from your Windows 11 PC. Please note that Microsoft Edge is a core component of Windows and cannot be completely uninstalled.

    You can try the following:

Add a DWORD titled AlwaysOpenPdfExternally key to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge and set the value to 1 in regedit.exe.

You can always ensure Edge does not run in the background from:

    edge://settings/system

Turn off the slider titled: Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed

This shouldn't be necessary - it should be an optional install

I understand your frustration. Microsoft Edge is integrated into the operating system as the default web browser. While you can't completely uninstall Microsoft Edge, you can always choose to use a different browser as your default.
