Alert all SharePoint users when adding a file

Good morning all,

Here is my problem: I have been trying for several weeks to alert all users of my SharePoint team site when a new file is added. All users, this includes members of the Office 365 group but also members of SharePoint groups (for example visitors).

The alert menu built into SharePoint does not allow me to add groups. Additionally, users can delete their alert. I then turned to Power Automate. However, Power Automate allows you to retrieve Office 365 groups and list its users but does not allow you to retrieve SharePoint groups. I am lost... is there therefore no solution to create an alert on all users of a site?

Per my understanding, normally the Alert me feature in SharePoint Online supports for adding users only.

From another perspective, you could use Notify your team after uploading a file feature in SharePoint, it is more flexible:

After uploading files, click the Notify you team option:

Select the SharePoint groups you want:

In fact, SharePoint groups are used in SharePoint sites, and Power Automate is a product independent of SharePoint, so O365 groups can be retrieved rather than SharePoint groups.

If you want to notify users only in O365 group, PowerAutomate is indeed a good choice.
