Changing verification code

When I try to sign into my Microsoft account I get to the point of getting a verification code but the phone number it sends it to is a landline (which will not accept the message). How can I change my phone number on my account without signing in as I cant sign in to change my account without putting in a code? I'm going round in circles, its so frustrating
