Why doesn't Microsoft support my country code?

I tried to add my phone number onto my Microsoft account but I wasn't able to because it doesn't support my country code. How do I fix this?

(Also, do not tell me to use an alternative method of verification, I need my phone number to redeem my giftcard)

    Good day Yennie, thanks for your question. My apologies on this and I would suggest to monitor it for a bit more of time as there might be an issue on the system or server that is interfering with this one (you can also check and try a different browser as an alternative) but if it will still be the same later today or tomorrow then you can head over to the link below to check it directly with the MS Rewards Support as they have information and access to provide on what transpired on the issue that you have encountered and again my apologies as this is a user to user forum and therefore we do not have inside access to be able to cross check this.
