How to get around MS Edge blocking allowed websites

MS Edge has recently started to block me from visiting certainly secure websites. For example, I get emails from Quanta Magazine (www.quantamazine.org) with links to their latest articles. When I click on the link to any article, Edge blocks me saying the connection is not secure and that the site sent an invalid response. In settings/cookies/site permissions/insecure content I have added the website to the allow list. It STILL blocks me. Any advice on how to correct Edge's behavior would be much appreciated. Thank you very much

That website is currently down, possibly for the reason shown in the image you posted.

    Hi, NioChorio

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

This error seems to indicate that the browser is unable to establish a secure connection with the website. There are many possible causes for this issue. Please try using other browsers (preferably with different cores, such as Firefox) to rule out local network problems. If Chromium-based browsers also have this issue, it might be a compatibility problem with the core. You can try the Insider version of Edge to see if the issue persists and report it using Alt+Shift+I.

If only Edge has this issue, it might be caused by Cookies or Cache. You can try entering InPrivate Mode (Ctrl+Shift+N) to test if the issue still exists.

Please let us know the results of your tests so we can better assist you.

    Best regards

Thank you! I believe I have found the enemy ... and the enemy is us! First, we live in rural Crete and often the internet speed is measured in bytes per hour. I am using a Dell laptop connected to our home WiFi wirelessly. Firefox gives me the same result as Edge on quantamagazine as well as our local bank in Chania. I checked websitedown and both were, according to my PC, down. So I then tried on my wife's Mac which is connected to the internet by a LAN cable. Quite the opposite there! Both sites were up and running and I was able to connect to each immediately. So, I needlessly blamed Edge. Thanks for your help Tommy and Chien! You pointed me in the right direction! My apologies to Edge!!
