Go to the support page for your laptop on the manufacturers website, if you do not have your drive encrypted with Bitlocker, check for any BIOS update that may need to be installed

What type of surface do you have your laptop positioned on when the laptop fans spin up?

Thankyou for your assistance. When the computer reved up I was just reading emails, and it is cool in my room. It is not every day but occasionally in warmer weather.

    So thanks again.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The sensors on your laptop motherboard will sense the temperatures of the internal components like the processor and graphics and when they sense your system needs to be cooled, then the fans on your system will spin up to cool down your laptop, that is normal, what are you doing on your system when it 'revs up'?
