MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR ISSUES WITH GETTING CODE

I downloaded the authenticator app as I needed it to have access to my workplaces business page. I since then have resigned and so I deleted the app, not knowing it was not backed up and linked to my personal Facebook account. To recover my Facebook account (as I cannot remember my password) I need the 6 digit code from the authenticator app. Is there a way to somehow get this back into my authenticator app if it wasn't backed up when I deleted it?

This Facebook account is also linked to my personal business page and have so much stuff on both my personal account and business page.

PLEASE HELP

    Hello Samantha Dixon1

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Regaining access to your Facebook account without the backup codes from the Microsoft Authenticator app can be challenging, but there are a few steps you might consider to try and resolve the issue:

    1. Recovery Codes: Check if you have saved backup codes somewhere. Facebook and many other services that use two-factor authentication (2FA) usually provide backup codes for situations just like this. If you have printed these out or stored them somewhere safe, you can use one of these codes to log in.
    2. Reinstall Authenticator App: If you had linked your Microsoft Authenticator to a Microsoft account or another backup mechanism before deleting it, try reinstalling the app and signing in to the same Microsoft account. There's a chance your linked accounts could sync back to the device, although this is a long shot if you didn't set up any backup options.
    3. Facebook Account Recovery: Visit Facebook's account recovery page and follow the steps for account recovery. This may involve identifying friends in photos, providing information about your account, or answering other security questions you may have set up.
    4. Use Trusted Contacts: If you previously set up Trusted Contacts in Facebook, you can reach out to them to help you regain access to your account. Facebook will provide a unique link to your trusted contacts, which they can share with you to recover your account.
    5. Customer Support: Contact both Facebook. Explain your situation in detail, including the fact that your Facebook account is essential for your personal business. Although it's a more challenging route, they might have procedures for such situations.
    6. Proof of Identity: Facebook might ask for proof of identity to recover your account. Be prepared to provide any requested documentation.
    7. Check for Other Recovery Options: Review any other recovery email or phone number you might have set up with your Facebook account and see if you can use those to recover your account.

If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards
