It was working normally before but today it just stopped working. Nothing happens when I click on the read aloud function when opening a PDF in Edge.

What should I do to fix this? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, good day! I'm Jerico T., I understand that you're having some issues right now, I'll do my best to help you with your concern.

Are there any recent changes made on the computer before the issue started? What version of Edge is currently installed on your windows?

Kindly follow the steps below to reset the settings of your Microsoft Edge

    1. Open the Microsoft Edge Browser and click on the three dots (Ellipsis) on the upper right corner and select Settings
    2. On the left-hand side panel, click on the reset settings
    3. Click on Reset settings their default values
    4. Wait for the process to complete and check if the same issue appears

If the same issue persists, kindly try and perform repair on your Microsoft Edge

    1. Make sure all Edge browsers are closed
    2. Press the Windows Key + R to open the run box
    3. Type appwiz.cpl and press enter. Programs and features should appear on your windows
    4. Scroll down and locate Microsoft Edge
    5. Double click on the Microsoft Edge and select Modify
    6. Click on Repair and wait for the process to complete

Restart the computer and check if the same issue appears

Feel free to reach back if you need any further assistance.

Hope this help. Have a good day.

    Thank you,

    Jerico T.

Mine's still Windows 10 and I just got this issue since today. I'm not sure if this issue exists since one or two months before cuz I haven't use this for so long.

I've been experiencing the same issue for one or two months. Initially, I suspected there might be something wrong with my version of Windows. However, I have since upgraded from Windows 11 21H to the 23H2 version, yet the problem persists.
