Strange Notification

I recently got this notification after entering a strange site. (This may not be the cause.)

When I used the site, it gave "Your computer is infected with a virus. Activate McAfee."

So I closed it, removed some of the cookies, and ran a Windows Security check. It was okay.

Now I got a notification from Microsoft Edge (Icon is Microsoft Edge with dark blue background is this official? In settings it is banners and sounds.) and all is says is "New Notification". What is the notification? When I click it, it disappeared, and reappears when I opened the notification area again. I clicked clear and it's now gone.

At about the same time, I got a notification from a website (not the scam site) I use in its own notification section. But I turned off the notifications for that website a long time ago.

    Hi anonymouspersonok,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

If you don't have McAfee on your computer this is a common scam notification, on Edge, go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Notifications and you will see which sites are allowed to send you notification, block any suspicious entry.
