kernal32.dll error

I installed Microsoft Lifecam VX 3000 recently. The software loaded fine and it does work in Yahoo messenger, however, when I load the Dashboard it says " this has encountered a problem and will close" the module name is kernall32.dll The dashboard has all the features but I cannot load this part of the program.

    When attempting to download/install software loaded on a CD on XP Home Edition operating system, I receive an error stating that "a procedure entry point Decode Pointer could not be located in the DLL Kernel 32 DLL. What can I do to fix this problem.
