I have the same problem as sk83r on Windows 7 Professional. Incoditus's solution did not help. Very aggravating "feature". I have a Linksys Wireless G-PCI Adapter. Presumbly some sort of third party network control program would help alleviate this, however I know of none. On Windows XP I used the Linksys network control program and never encountered this problem, but I am unable to install it on Windows 7.
WLAN Autoconfig
This is concerning the automatic polling that takes place every 60 seconds and why it is with great difficulty to stop it. Will this issue ever be resolved?
I've gone to the lengths of uninstalling wireless card drivers and replacing them with XP drivers and utilizing a THIRD PARTY program to ease the interupts. This is not a problem with my card or wireless connection and many other people complain and have the same problem. Online applications and games are basically rendered un-usable due to the constant interupts.

2009-04-09T16:16:44+00:00 If I run a ping /t in a cmd to my router it is easy to see that every 60 seconds a spike occurs. Now is support aware of this issue? Hopefully this has been fixed in Windows 7 or at least addressed.

Thanks for using the Answers Forum.
I understand that the interruption is annoying. However, it doesn't look like your expiriencing a issue with Windows functioning properly.
From a support perspective, there isn't much I can do without something not working like it should or an error message of some type.
