I get this error whenever I load a saved game from Age of Empires Gold. The game freezes up when try to load the save file. I have already tried using the compatibility option from the properties menu, and I increased the limit to the virtual memory. No luck. Also, I am only using about 50% of my disc space. I cannot figure this out. Any help would be appreciated. :) BTW, I am running Windows Vista 32-bit Home Premium.

Thank you very much for replying. I have 1 GB RAM installed. Strange why I would get that error,  when the game and its expansion are less than 100 MB....

Hello Lonnie7,

You may want to upgrade your RAM to at least 2GB. Vista runs much smoother with 2GB of RAM with your programs to run in the back ground. RAM is very cheap these days. I would use 3GB of RAM personally if your system can support it. Take a look at this link: **http://corsair.com/** to see what type of RAM you have in your system. Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!

    Hello Lonnie7,

Your Welcome! Also when you do that upgrade in RAM change the virtual memory to let Windows decide what is best for your system. Take care. Make it a great day!

    Hello Lonnie7,

How much RAM is installed on your system? Increasing virtual memory will not help you with gaming performance. In fact it's (virtual memory) much slower then physical RAM in your PC because it uses your hard drive as memory. There a few reasons that my be causing your issue, as well as fixes for your issue. Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!
