Hi all,

Recently, I just upgraded to win7. Everything worked fine. However, 2-3 days, my system cannot discover the wireless network. I'm now on wired network connected to router.

As far as, other device work with wireless normally except my win7. I still connect to wireless when using linux, mobile phone, other notebook (also win7). And my router configuration still be the same.

I've search the forum and done many thing but they are not working for me. The following is what i've done.

  • uninstall wireless card driver.
  • disable / enable wireless card
  • netsh reset ip and restart system

Hi P4jojoba,

a.    Have you installed any Security Software or any third party firewall on your laptop?

If yes, disable the Security Software and the firewall for the time being and check if the issue persists.

Note: Make sure you turn on or enable them once you are done with the test.

Step 1: Check the status of WLAN Auto Config service.

  1. Click Start, click Run, typeservices.msc, and then click **OK.**2. Double-click WLAN AutoConfig Service. If you receive a Configuration Manager message, click OK.
  2. In the Startup Type list, click Automatic, and then click OK.
  3. Close Services.
  4. Restart the computer.

Still the same: Try running the Network Troubleshooter and see if it fixes the issue:

Step 2:

Seem like i found the solution to the issue.

Just change my location in Control panel. it's look like driver check the location and use some legal radio frequency for the selected country.

Previous, I installed some program that required me to use US format. so I change the location to be able to use the program but after then my wireless network issue occur.

    Anyway, thank for your help.
