Hi,

I have a WIN7 system, got crashed just now, when looked for a solution using recovery manager, I got a 'Can't repair' and in the summary of description I came to know that the file "wdfldr.sys" got corrupted.

Now I'm unable to fix the error even using recovery manager, also I'm not willing to reinstall windows.

Please let me know if the same file can be replaced, if so please send me the same.

Your suggestions and help are highly needed.

Thanks & Regards

RK Veluvali

Hi RK Veluvali,

·        Are you able to boot to the desktop?

This error messages are usually caused due to failure or corruption of drivers files on the computer.

·        Do you receive any error code with error message?

·        Are you able to boot the computer in safe mode?

1.     Try booting the computer in safe mode, you may refer the link: Start you computer in safe mode:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

2.     If you are unable to boot in safe mode you may try startup repair, follow the steps for the same:

a.     Boot Into 7 installation DVD

b.     Choose your language settings and click Next

c.      Click repair your computer

d.     Choose your operating system and click Next. This should bring up system recovery options.

e.     Click on startup repair.
