error reading setup initialization file

I have windows 7 and am trying to install new pc studio so I can connect my cellphone to my laptop and transfer music from my computer to my phone but when I try to install pc studio it comes up saying error reading setup initialization file and I don't know why

as a simplification of the link above

First download samsung pc studio(again) from link above then right click your samsung pc studio .exe and click properties then go to compatability and select compatability mode: Select Windows Xp sp3.

Once you ar able to install the pc studio

Go to your windows 7 device manager

Click start >right click my computer>manage>click device manager then plug your samsung phone in look for unidentified device or something like that (Represented by an Exclamation mark !) right click on your phone model in device manager and click update device driver.Once updated your system should be all go .Hope i have helped you.

    I've had this problem for the past 2-03 months on Win7 after having used the software for over a year.  Contacted Samsung with no help.

    Following the suggestion here to work with Device Manager, I had the phone as an active device, so removed it and then relaunched the software to reconnect.  This time the process proceeded further but errored on the connect to phone with a message that the device (phone) was still in initialization mode.  I rebooted the phone and tried again with success.  Looks like repairing the phone is the solution.

    hello,

    i tried to set up a barrons toefl program ,but this error appeared : 

    error reading setup initialization file . i have windows 7 and i tried compabilty previous version but it wasnt successful.

    hello my name is Nic,

    Is it possible that your pc studio's setup files have been corrupted?If possible please try redownloading it

    I did notice it is meant for vista also but u can try first please do verify and tell me if it works for you.
