Mycomputer is an XP professional.

Whenever i open a program or a dialogue window pops up, most of the time it opens up off screen, wheree i cant see it.  I right-click the item in the taskbar and then click "Move" the i press any arrow key and it shows up.

What is wrong? And How can I prevent and fix what is happening?

I am not sure that if it is a reliable site or not; however, after a couple of more times of restarting my computer, it somehow fixed it self. I actually didnt do much. Just shutting down and starting up my computer...

So, i guess there isnt a solution. Haha

After you move a program's window back to the main monitor and close it, Windows XP should remember that location the next time you open the program.

It might help to re-connect and re-enable the second monitor, move any windows to the main monitor and close them, then disable it as I indicated above.

Windows XP apparently thinks that your computer has two monitors.  Does it?

If not, go to Control Panel > Classic View > Display > Settings and disable the second monitor.
