- Did you make any hardware or software changes to the computer lately?
- Are you using any M-Audio device?
That seems to be a common error while using an M- Audio device. I would recommend you to update the drivers for this device in the Device Manager.
Method 1. You can check in the Device Manager if an M-Audio device is listed there:
- Click on start and go to Control panel and then click on System and Maintenance.
- Now click on device manager.
- Go to sound, video, and game controllers in the device manager
- Right-click on the M-Audio device and choose update driver.
- Try updating the drivers automatically and check if it does not find any driver, download the driver manually from the manufacturers website and install it manually.
