Use System Restore to go back to before you got the updates. Hopefully all will now work correctly. Then get the updates one by one, so you can see which one causes the issues.
Media Sharing Violation error message when trying to edit photos emailed from cell phone to gmail
Media Sharing Violation error message when trying to edit photos emailed from cell phone to gmail then downloaded to computer then inability to upload these images to facebook.
I am using a HP Media Smart laptop with Windows 7. I have been taking photos with my Sprint Samsung Moment, sending them to my gmail account (no way to direct connect to PC), and then downloading them the entire time that I have had my laptop. I would then use Windows Live Photo Gallery to edit the images if necessary before uploading them to facebook or walgreens.com for printing. A few nights ago I installed updates as instructed by my PC and had to restart my computer and go through an automatic fix process because they didnt' take well. Today I downloaded then edited a photo of my cat then attempted to save it and received an error message telling me something along the lines that I wasn't authorized to save changes to the image because of a media sharing violation. I then attempted to upload another image to facebook and was unable to upload any images that were on my computer that were taken by my cell phone. They all showed up on the facebook upload tool as little pictures of cameras instead of photos. When I tried to select them by file title and then click upload anyway I got an error message saying I couldn't proceed. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?
