Hi,

You may try uninstalling Flight Simulator X from your computer and try reinstalling and check if the issue gets fixed.Download AND install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Open the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from the START menu. Should be located in:

START > Windows Installer Cleanup .

Find the FSX entry in the list, select it, and remove it

1.  Click START

2.  Click 'Control Panel'

3.  Click 'Folder Options'

4.  Uncheck 'Hide Hidden Files & Folders'

5.  Click 'Apply' at the bottom right

6.  Close out of all windows

7.  Click START

8.  Click 'Computer'

9.  Click 'Local Disk (C:)'

  1. Go to Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X
  2. If there are any files shown there, delete them
  3. Afterwards, go back one folder and delete the Flight Simulator X folder
  4. Once that is done, close out of all programs, restart the computer, and then try to install the game again

Flt Simulator X worked  with VISTA. After upgrade to Win7 and re-installation of Flt SimX, I get a window saying "error ID=25" and cannot proceed to open program. "trouble shooting" shows an incompatiblity.
