Hi Noordzeehaai,

Welcome to Microsoft Answers Community Forum!

In order to used the docked feature for your keyboard, try performing the following steps:

a.    Click Windows Logo (Start) -> In Start-Search type: Regional and Language Options, press enter.

b.    Click  Keyboards and Languages tab,

c.    Click Change keyboards, a new window will open.

d.    In the Text Services and Input Language window, click Language Bar tab, here if the radio button for the Language Bar is on Hidden, change it to Docked in the taskbar, click OK on the remaining windows.

Note: clicking the Advance Key Settings will allow you to use a keyboard shortcut to switch your languages.

Also suggest you to check the below mentioned link for additional information:

This is the opposite of helpful.  I can tell the author of this reply just did a search for "language AND dock" and pasted that useless tripe you see above.

If you bothered to read the actual question, you would know he doesn't want to 'dock' the language bar - he wants to change the language based on dock/undock event (putting a laptop into a dock).

    *eyeroll*
