Hey! So I was recently given a laptop by my social worker, It was originally one of many for the DoE (Department Of Education) However they didn't take the restrictions off when giving it to me, Basically its still connected to the DoE Azure AD: Local User.

It pretty much stops me from making the laptop "Mine" I cant create, delete rename any accounts, access certain websites, download anything, or really do anything other than user google. I cant changer anything as I'm not the Administrator, I cant make myself the Administrator because everything get's blocked by Group Policy and to Contact the System Administrator.

It's like having a very restricted Work Computer, My social worker and I have been emailing each other but she's not to sure how to fix it as she doesn't really know anything about computers, she is trying to find out what to do but it can take weeks before I hear back from her sometimes, If I'm wasting my time and Its not something I can do from my Laptop alone (Which I don't think I can do) then please let me know and I'll just store it somewhere safe! Thank you in-Advance.

Edit; The best I've found so far is tot find out the Localadmin password and factory rest it, Hopefully my Social Worker knows it :)

Check edition and architecture of your device (x64 or x32) and make sure Windows 10 is activated and then download perform clean install of Windows 10:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You may ask the administrator to create a local administrator account and then you remove the AD account.

    Hello,

Thank you so much for posting here.

We mainly focus on the group policy issue, but it seems to be more than group policy issue. As mentioned, the computer is joined to Azure AD. So sorry that we mainly focus on on-premises AD.

We are wondering whether we could try to disjoin the computer to the domain. So that it will not be blocked by Group Policy, then we could make myself the Administrator. After that, we could rejoin the computer to the domain.

    Best regards,
    Hannah Xiong
