Hi mountaingirl217,

1. Which program are you trying to uninstall?

2. Does the program access data from the internet?

3. Are you trying to uninstall the program from programs and features option?

You may delete all the temporary files and files you do not need by using disk clean up and then check. You can start Disk Cleanup, by doing any of the following:

  • Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

-or-

  • Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type cleanmgr, and then click OK.

-or-

  • In Windows Explorer or My Computer, right-click the disk in which you want to free up space, click Properties, click the General tab, and then click Disk Cleanup.

You may also refer to the below link to delete files using Disk Cleanup -

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Delete-files-using-Disk-Cleanup

You may also delete the temporary internet files like cookies. Refer to the below link to delete these and then check -

Hope this helps. Let us know the results.

    Hello Shahbm,

No. Disk Cleanup does not delete any personal data and you can customize exactly what it deletes.

For more information on Disk Cleanup I would visit this article and watch the video (also posted above in Meghmala's reply):
