can i use my university provided gmail associated email account to create Microsoft student account

my university has given me access to my university email account. but i have to log into it via gmail login page. cant i use that mail to create student account?

I'd ask your school admins about this. Seems unlikely they would have been able to register any @Stuff .com addresses for their school to use.
