I was downloading a screensaver and when I attempted to RUN it it gave me msvbvm50.dll is missing message and end my download unsuccessfully.

This file is a Microsoft Visual Basic runtime file that is used by programs written in older versions of Visual Basic for Windows. These runtime files are normally included with the third party program as part of their distribution.

What is happening to make you think this file is missing?

Is this a third party program that is missing the file? If so, what is the exact name and version number of that program.
