I've tried paint, photoshop, the snipping tool, no matter what I do and copy/past has jpg artifacts to the point where copying and pasting twice will make text in an image unreadable

    Hi,

    -      Which application are you using to paste the images?

If you’re using Paint, you can change the format of the image from .JPG to .BMP when saving the picture from the “save as type:” drop-down:

Alternatively, you can use Snipping tool to capture screen shotsor snip, of any object on your screen, and then annotate, save, or share the image.

    See Snipping Tool
