install realtek hd audio driver failure error code: 0x000005b4 windows 7 64bit RC
install realtek hd audio driver failure error code: 0x000005b4. I have have downloaded the latest drivers for this and it won't finish install.
I also used drive agent to scan my drivers and found a few intel chipset drives no up to date. like usb drivers and some bridge drivers. I have the intel x58 chipset on asus p6t mother board. The system works fine with the built 7100 drivers but won't let me update to the new drivers. I run the set up from intel it goes thought 3 steps and then I says it installed, but the installation didn't go through. the reason i wanted to update my chip set drivers is to hope fully fix the sound driver problem. I read allot of threads some of them said something out registry corruption??? or the windows install program not working??? HELP!
by the way all this started happening after I installed I Tunes from apple!! since then i have deleted it from my computer.

2009-10-25T12:20:23+00:00 All you have to do is restart into Safe Mode and then do your driver install from there. You see, in Safe mode, all the microsoft stuff that stops things from working, is not loaded, so your install will be successfull. Then just reboot normally.

2009-11-22T14:23:34+00:00 Almeister9, that worked for me.... Have had the same problem trying to figure it out and get help and that is all it took. Didn't know you could install a driver in Safe Mode, thought you were limited to what you could do. Thanks!!
