Hello - I opened the lap-top & was met with the alert message above & it suggested I cantact the product supplier (ugh) can you give me an idea as to what I can do on my own ? (I have recently removed a few applications/programmes to give me more operating vigour as it used to freeze) - through the correct control-panel procedure I removed MSworks (using the CD) and a previous down-load application (iplayer) - has this anything to do with it ? Anything you can advise would be appreciated ! (Thanks)

Next time please quote any error messages exactly. If you received an error message with the actual file name "synchost.exe" and this is not a typo for "svchost.exe", then your computer is infected.

Be sure the computer is clean:

Post back with the results and the text of any error messages for further help.
