BOOTMGR is missing + Keyboard will not work

Had windows 7 for a while but due to a few software problems I formatted the hard drive and then tried to reinstall windows 7 using the installation disc go on the Bios to say boot from the CD drive 1st (meaning I can use the keyboard on the Bios.  But when it reads the disc in the drive comes up with the message 'Press any key to boot from CD or DVD' for some reason the keyboard completely turns of no lights and will not start the boot from the DVD.  The machine then try's to boot from the hard drive but their isn't an OS on the hard drive which then brings up the message 'BOOTMGR is missing'

Have tried using different keyboards unplugging everything else but still nothing any help you can give will be much appreciated

    Hi,

Since you have the keyboard working again these might help with the Boot Manager Missing

    issue.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This is serious error and "may" not be repairable without professional tech support from

a real computer shop (not leeks and peeks at a BestBuy or other BigBox Stores) or your

    System maker's Support.

Here are the troubleshooting methods to try to fix the issue :

Try Startup Repair - (If at ANY point you gain some but not full access to Windows come

back and try Startup Repair again.)
