When I plug in a USB flash drive, Windows Media Player automatically switches to the Library view.  I would like to disable this feature.  This feature does not have anything to do with the sync feature; sync is disabled.  How do I disable this feature?

Hi Mr_B_,

If your device syncs automatically, the Player starts to sync every time you connect the device to a computer. If you want, you can turn this option off by doing the following:

1.      Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Media Player.

If the Player is currently open and you’re in Now Playing mode, click the Switch to Library button in the upper-right corner of the Player.

2.      Click the Sync tab, click the Sync options button, and then click Set up sync.

3.      In the Device Setup dialog box, clear the Sync this device automatically check box.

The next time you connect the device, you will need to sync manually
