Hello F471H,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Answers Forums.

Check out my sticky and try the steps in Optimizing windows 7 for better performance.  Try running the troubleshooters, check for any performance issues.  Unfortunately, without any error codes, it would be difficult to diagnose your problem.

I hope this answers your questions, if you require further assistance please come back and post, we are more than happy to help you out.

Regards,

Edgar

As you can see, NONE of the MS people give you a direct answer for your direct question, namely, "Constantly on my computer I started to feel a slowdown. When look at the task manager I saw all the processor used %100 by sppsvc.exe. How can I resolve this situation I encountered."

So I, not being in the employ of MS, WILL:

When you first install Windows on your PC, or buy it that way, you are expected to immediately go online to verify your authentic Windows purchase and installation, so that Gates et al may continue making their $Billions. They call it "Activation". You get 15days (as of Win7 in 2014) in which to accomplish this task, even if you are merely testing a system to see if this is the best OS to install on it, or the best OS for its intended user.

Until you perform this "Activation", MS will continue to run this little bit of spyware in the background that checks to see if you've "Activated", and if not, to NAG you until you do, and to slowly slow your system down to a crawl if you go past the 15 days without "Activation", such as might happen if the system sits unused while you are hospitalized for some sort of flesh-eating bacteria...

MS DOESN'T CARE: they merely want their $200 for licensing you to use Windows, or they're not gonna let you use that PC (unless you upgrade to Linux or Mac OSX or whatever else is available)!

BTW, I hope you also know that when you PAY that $200 for Windows to install, you DON'T OWN your copy. In many instances, you can't re-sell it or even transfer it to a replacement computer, or even continue using it on the same computer, should you upgrade its CPU, motherboard, or other components deemed to indentify the system. It's for THAT computer as it was built at the time you "bought" and installed Windows on it. Anywho, when you plunk down your money for Windows, all you're truly doing is buying a LICENSE with which to USE it on that single computer for which you bought it. That license then becomes useless if, as happened with XP last month, MS stops supporting it (IOW, closing holes it left in XP -- and assorted other MS software on that system -- thru which hackers may attack your system.)

And if you're building or setting up a server, you have to buy additional licenses for every user who will access that server!

The good news is that once you do "Activate" your copy, the nasty little trojan/TSR will hopefully disappear, never again to bother you. If it does, delete it and sue MS if it causes your PC to crash unless you allow it to run... Or better yet, buy a Mac. The OS is free now. And fairly free of viruses and other malware. And quicker, and more intelligent, and comes with real apps out of the box...

    1. Start -> RUN command "gpedit.msc"
    2. Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Defender Antivírus
    3. Option "Turn Off Windows Defender Antivírus"
    4. Double click and select "ENABLE"

    or go to

    1. Start RUN command "regedit" and add this DWORD
    2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
    3. Add new DWORD "DisableAntiSpyware"
    4. Double click and insert "1"

    have a look at HKLM\System\WPA

if there are a lot of subentries (mine had hundreds) then the sppsvc evaluates all entries sequential (used Procmon.exe to see what happened) and that costs!

these entries may come from an "-rearm" session...

    Solution:

    1. boot to an WinPE or Recovery console
    2. backupcopy c:\windows\system32\config\software to software.save (you know what to do if the system crashes on boot)
    3. in regedit :

    a) allow permission to HKLM\System\WPA

    b) dont touch the first 3 subentries but delete all others (there are webblogs which state that MediaCenter would not work after - havent checked that)

    1. reboot and see if that helped

I have the same problem with my computer... Windows 7 ultimate... From what I've found online is that sppsvc.exe. is a "start up program" and why a start up program would be running my CPU at 100% 3 hours after starting up is beyond me... When I first installed Windows 7 on my computer, I loved it... Now..not so much.. It was perfect for about 3 months... Than it decides it is not compatible with my desktop manager for my blackberry storm. After a few months it started working again. Next it decided it was not compatible with my intel webcam.. And STILL isn't... A few days ago I got a windows update and since that time my ATI video card has errors " Display Driver Stopped Responding And Has Recovered"...I've searched that one online as well and found that ATI claims that it is a windows problem and microsoft claims that it is an ATI issue... I've found that hundreds of users have this same problem....even new (OUT OF THE BOX) systems have this problem.. I did a system restore to the earliest date I could and shut off automatic updates because every time I get an update something else quits working..at that rate it wont be long before I can't use anything or do anything with the computer....but at least it would be "up to date" :) Good luck! I myself am thinking of going back to XP or going with Apple very soon... And blasting this worthless computer with my 110 year old 12 gauge (witch still works as good as the day it was made...unlike anything windows) :)
