WMF Viewing Thumbnails

When opening folders containing pictures that are wmf (clip art) my windows 7 won't show the thumb nail even though the help says wmf is compatable with vwindows 7.  They won't even open in the windows phot0 gallery.  If there something I need to do in windows 7 to make them open?  I can view them fine on computers running XP so I now the files aren't currupt.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I know Microsoft made this error in Vista but I would have thought they would have corrected it for Windows 7!!!!!!!!!!

    =====================================

No guarantees but the following info may be worth a look:

Windows Explorer EMF and WMF thumbnail preview plug-in

    http://code.google.com/p/emfplugin/

    Microsoft Windows Explorer no longer

    displays thumbnails image previews of

    EMF (Enhanced Metafile) and WMF

    (Windows Metafile) vector graphic images.

    Also try...(Not Free)

Mystic Coder (32-bit and 64-bit versions)

    http://www.mysticcoder.net/mysticthumbs.html

The freeware IrfanView might be worth a try...

After downloading and installing the software...

open IrfanView and go to...File / Thumbnails...

On the Thumbnails screen...navigate to the

appropriate folder and view the thumbs.

    IrfanView

    Get the plug-ins too.....

    IrFanView Graphic Viewer PlugIns

    http://www.software.com/irfanview-plugins-9374-1

    Good luck...
